We aim to support West Australian, established, and emerging artists via our exhibition space.

If you are interested in having your artwork on exhibit and/or for sale on consignment with us in 2024, please read through the information below and submit your interest. 

Exhibitor Information

We aim to support West Australian, established, and emerging artists via our exhibition space. We have not set limits on artwork forms and welcome all types of fine art, visual art, and decorative art. We are happy to discuss the number of pieces of artwork that you wish to display, but if you submit a large quantity of artwork there is no guarantee that we will be able to display it all – it will be up to the discretion of the gallery curators and if your artwork is selling well. Artwork sizing of up to 1.0m x 1.5m is preferred, but please feel free to discuss this with us. We welcome your interest, please approach us if you would like to exhibit with us.

We encourage artists (where possible) to drop off their work in person prior to the Gallery opening date. That way you get to meet us, see our exhibition space, and explain in person any installation requirements. If this is not possible one of our volunteers may be able to assist with the drop-off and/or pick-up, but all responsibility for this arrangement lies with you. We expect that you provide the artwork packaging for travel and that it is appropriate to ensure that it does not get damaged during transit. All artwork is to be labeled with the artist’s name and title on the back of the work. Artwork must be presented ready for installation with suitable hanging devices attached (if applicable). We are more than happy to discuss any specific installation requirements with you. All unsold artwork will be returned to you at the end of the exhibition period.

Artists will be charged a flat rate display fee of $20 for the entire 3 months to have items in the Mainstreet Gallery. We will work with you on pricing all artwork for sale and a template will be provided. We have a set 15% commission on all sales of any item in our gallery. All items to be sold will be available to take away by the purchaser on the day of purchase.

We are very happy to display any of your own Business cards and/or flyers promoting your art in our gallery.
We will have a Facebook and Instagram account for the Mainstreet Gallery and will from time to time promote your artwork on our pages therefore reserve the right to photograph any artwork exhibited. Please also provide us with preferred photos of yourself and your artwork for us to use for promotional purposes.

The venue has Public Liability cover. Artwork is covered for insurance by the Mukinbudin Planning and Development Group whilst on exhibition only, not during transit. It is your responsibility to insure your own artwork if you choose to. We take no responsibility for any damage to artwork during transit. An excess fee will apply for any claims made through our insurance in the case of loss or damage.
